St. Ann's Generator & Housing

The Problem

The power at St. Ann's Primary Girls' School is very unreliable. After dark there is sometimes no light for anyone, including the children who live on campus. This is unsafe and inhibits the children from doing their homework after the sun sets. There is a generator on campus, but it is old and not powerful enough to power the whole campus.

The Solution

Mission Madera is purchasing a generator and hiring a Ugandan company to build housing around it. The company will also run power lines around the campus to reach all the classrooms, dormitories, and convent that the religious sisters live in.
